'is there a song (fort minor included) that has better rapping from shinoda than High Voltage?'

When They Come For Me and Wretches and Kings are pretty dope

There are also a few really good LP b-sides I can dig up for you if you want to hear some great early Mike rapping.

Fort Minor song Kenji. Not aggressive, but compelling storytelling about his parents and grandparents being Japanese and in WWII

In my opinion, "A Place for My Head" is of their best songs. I would place it in my top 3. "Wretches and Kings" was alright, but far from my personal picks.

Dedicated, I Have Not Begun, It's Goin Down and Step Up are all really decent songs that showcase Mike.

"Breaking the Habit" is a bit haunting judging by the death of Chester Bennington. It almost seems like foreshadow. "High Voltage" is alright, but I prefer "A Place for My Head". The song showcases not only Mike, but the entire band. It has a good riff, epic drums, rumbling bass, and every aspect that makes Mike and Chester a good duo. Not to mention it goes hard live.

Bumped because I like this more than Hybrid. Nothing wrong with loving simple music.

i prefer hybrid theory to this mostly because i used to listen to hybrid theory way more so there are way more memories associated with it. they're both about equal in quality tho prob

Both albums are about equal in my opinion. I can't pick one over the other.
