Eh they’re more grind/tech death imo but idk we’re splitting hairs at this point lol. They do rule hard, I just never mixed them in with the deathcore scene.

i havent listened to Prey for Eyes or Clients for a long time, but from what i remember those could be considered deathcore. Fused Together and Teeth Machine, definitely not.

Being stuck in a "deathcore sucks" thought routine (speaking personally here) can often make you forget about the golden nuggets. After listening to this record after a long time I've come to the conclusion that this one absolutely slays. The breakdowns are obliterating, but they also snuck in some of the greater SotS leftover riffs in the business and generally have a great ear for melody. Hermida also used to be an absolute madman behind the mic

There’s def some gems that I’ve heard. These guys stand way above any of the other bands though.

There's def some listenable deathcore, but I find most of it to be a bit forgettable tbh

Thirteen Bled Promises, Bog Wraith, Fit for An Autopsy (their last two), Resist the Thought (Sovereignty), Aversions Crown (Xenocide), Shadow of Intent (Reclaimer), Hollow Prophet, etc. Quality shit.

See I'm familiar with the Fit For an Autopsyn Aversions Crown and Shadow of Intent records and while I can get some enjoyment out of it in certain doses, at the end of the day I never really feel compelled to check it again. I'd say Shadow of Intent got top notch vocal work for the genre tho

Hollow Prophet's EP might be right up your alley then. It has SOI's vocalist and it's short and sweet, being an EP of course.
