Nice. I’ll give it a whirl John.

sweet, I'll try to knock a writeup together so you can dunk on it if it does not spark joy

Amazing album, all killers no fillers

maybe it was the mix I was spinning but this felt really flat dynamics-wise, which it really unusual for a SW album

loving this, wish I would have known it was on Spotify sooner

My Ashes, Anesthetize, and Sentimental are three of their best songs. Been enjoying playing a lot of this album and the other 2000s ones on bass these past couple weeks.

It was definitely painful waiting for it to even get on Spotify, lol... it wasn’t until September of last year that it got on there

"My Ashes, Anesthetize, and Sentimental are three of their best songs."
That's like half of the tracklist, beautiful album isn't it?

Album Rating: 4.5
Yes, has some of their most beautiful moments. I wish he wouldn't sing as much over the heavy parts, and that some of the lyrics were different, especially the t/t.
|
| |
Album Rating: 4.5
Yeah, the lyrics are definitely my one major hangup with this album despite how much I love it

When he says "cod philosophy" he's not talking about Call of Duty, is he? Maybe since he does mention Xbox in the t/t lol
Some of the lines in My Ashes are great, especially the ending. Also the third part of Anesthetize, pretty cryptic to me what he's talking about there.

Album Rating: 4.5
I always interpreted the third part of Anesthetize as a negative result of the alienation and angst of the first two parts and the upbringing of the "protagonist." Now he's reflecting on what his life became and how everyone and everything is slipping away from him. Idk, that's what I got out of it

| |
Album Rating: 4.5
Yeah in general that's probably what's being conveyed there.

@Talons ''Cod philosophy'' to me has to do with codeine and blissful alienation
