''Sorry I thought you meant up to GR for a second and tried to correct it before anyone noticed''
Yeah, that's great. Now it seems like I'm talking to myself...:P
''Can't decide btwn ghost of perdition or harlequin forest for best on here''
For me it's either Beneath the Mire or The Grand Conjuration.

Please, stop drinking, for the sake of humanity... ;)

the grand conjuration is awesome until it starts to drag like hell

I mean it has some cool parts, the dissonant section, the fast proggy part. But yeah it just drags and all the other heavys are more consistently varied and interesting

Beneath the Mire is my fav here.

Atonement has some awesome melodies too.

Reverie is my favorite part of that

It's nice, indeed, but seems like a riff they had no idea where to put it. Atonement's intro is excellent.

Grand Conjuration is weak. GOP is the best and the first half of harlequin forest is amazing, but really loses its steam in the second half

Yeah, Isolation Years is perfect. The atmosphere is haunting and it's one of Mikael's best moments on the album.
As I read Rosemary's letter...

The last three days I'm listening almost exclusively Opeth. Today I had a moment of Rush (CoS) and Riverside (ADHD). GR is pure heaven.

I did that with Between the Buried and Me and got lost in the sludge of solos and shit. You a fan of Transatlantic by any chance, Myth?

The Baying of the Hounds wanks too much imo

Second half is great, especially where the guitar chords all of a sudden sound evil. No where near their best though

Harlequin definitely loses steam in the last 1/3 and honestly so does GOP (as in after the amazing solo) but Baying is amazing all the way through and probably 3rd best heavy on here
