"Invincible is probably the worst tool song of all time"
small typo, i think you meant to put "best" tool song of all time

I wouldn't say it's the worst, far from it, but it's probably my least fav off of this, excluding the instrumentals.

Yea, one of the best here. That stoic rhythm with the other riffs above ... awesome

worst track here by a landslide is the t/t, it's the only reason i can't give it the full score. it's just too derivative sounding compared to the rest of the songs here.

T/t grew on me a lot tbh. It's very elegant

That's my take as well. Didn't hurt that it was apparently about the corona crisis.

I would say Descending is the best track here, but Invincible is definitely second.

Wow this is almost at 500 pages.....300 of which is filled with straight up hatin

Descending and Pneuma are comfortably the best imo, and Invincible is comfortably the worst. The rest exists, just like this thread ;]

Invincible's guitar work at the start gives me the wildest Tool-boner, shit sounds so fun to play. I really need to learn it. Also, the chuggaluggathon in Invincible > the chuggaluggathon in Tempest

imo Invincible is actually fucking awful to play cause it has a 3 minute chug section near the end that's super tedious
funnest song to play on here is easily 7empest but that arpeggiated riff at the start that changes time sig every 4th bar is a nightmare

Invincible is a funner guitar song than Fear Inoculum though, that song's a fucking snoozer

Makes sense. I love playing vicarious, but I always shit the bed on the outro

"Makes sense. I love playing vicarious, but I always shit the bed on the outro"
you'll hate 7empest then cause that has a similar kinda riff but way faster and in like 13/8

Oh my fuck, I can hear it in my head now and have pre-emptive ptsd. I have a weird hatred for Tempest though, so probably won't give it a stab tbh. Fun lead breaks though
