They aren't even comparable I don't know why GY!BE is gettin' talked about on a Brand New review even though this is basically at the point where it becomes a free thread.
But I like this more than LYSF but F#A# is my second favourite album ever so I would say GY!BE > Brand New but it's a moot point since they both do completely different things.

good point ending, just one of those things where the conversation starts going off in weird directions. both are great bands for different reasons.

I guess they have the fact that they're both great bands in common but I don't really see Death
getting discussed on like a Radiohead review.
Anyway though I've heard this album like a million times now and ever since it really connected with
me and I (started to believe that I) understood Lacey's struggles here it just went to a straight hard
5.0. Picking a favourite off of this would be impossible. But Luca, Sowing Season, and Jesus usually
hit me the hardest.

Let's fight avon
Jesus and Limousine are the best here let's be real

First half and Luca hit ridiculously hard, but I don't find the second half is able to maintain the levels of excellence that the first does, with a couple of average tracks (Not The Sun and Handcuffs) and an almost pointless interlude (Untitled). Still, this album contains some of my absolute favourite songs ever (Jesus, Degausser, Limousine).

I find Handcuffs to be a perfect closer to the album. Sowing Season was probably my favourite the first few times I heard this but then it got harder and harder to pick a single particular standout.

Its just never clicked with me like a lot of the other tracks have, although I do love the "its hard to be the better man..."part. Play Crack The Skye is an infinitely better closer imo, the Beach Boys-esque vocal harmonies at the end or hauntingly beautiful.

Yeah Play Crack the Sky destroys Handcuffs
I'm scared I'll get scared and I swear I'll try to nail you BACK UP

I would agree that Play Crack The Skye is a better closer but I think that Handcuffs still closes this particular album perfectly. It's so soft and melancholy, and though I wouldn't say it's one of the best on the album it certainly wraps it up nicely. I'd not pick another track to close it off.

See, I'd kill to have Limousine as the closer, would have been such a powerful way to finish the album.
I love you so much, but do me a favour baby don't reply
Cause I can dish it out, but I can't take it
Then that emotionally charged solo and the slow fade into static. Perfect.
