“Pastry stouts and milkshake IPAs 🤢”
yeah, not a fan either. Usually sickly sweet nonsense.
On topic: I’m in a brewery rn. Let’s go!

Have fun and a pint for me, Demon--I just got to work lol
Never had a milkshake IPA myself, mostly because I'm super selective about my IPAs. Some of the local places have a stellar IPA but the rest is bitter nonsense. It's always the bitter finish that gets to me.
Milk stouts, though... Now we're talking. Like a warm sweater on a cold day, and definitely not a summer beer

Dis good.
Almost definitely their best, though that's not a terribly high bar.

Taking several spins but I'm really enjoying this! Still waiting for Magnolia, Revelator and Body Behaviour to click though

Tour starts tomorrow, very excited to see this live. Can't wait to hear Revelator and Winona. My guess is they'll play half of the album, then 1 or 2 songs from each. Great album, I do miss the long instrumental passages but as George said they were getting predictable so I understand why they changed it up. Plus he said they won't be changing their sound as drastically as IG "anytime soon".
Production is great but I found it jarring after listening to their other albums with Jack Shirley for so long lol. I think it's the same producer as IG which is interesting cause the production sounds much different. IG had some gorgeous clean guitar tones
The lead guitar here is back to RTJ/Sunbather "textural" style no more dualing lead guitar solos lol but that was fun to watch Kerry and Shiv tradefoff during the OCHL tours. I'm hoping for a little more interesting riffs/leads next time, but this is still a nice throwback/blend of their older stuff.

It's at 4.34 right now so it's only a few 5s away from going back to 4.4 lol

Most beers are not that great.
Pilsners are where it’s at. Breweries don’t make them because IPAs are easy to make

Wow they played nearly every song from this album according to setlist fm (but not orange tree 😣)... Infinite granite was completely sidelined too unfortunately. Would have loved to hear In Blur. Excited for the Toronto show.

The 4.3 isn't going anywhere, and this could potentially reach a 4.4 again. Rightfully so!
Absolute peak of what 2025 has to offer (so far)

I heard they didn't play Body Behavior either. I can understand not playing Orange Tree, but Body Behavior would be amazing to experience live.
"When I tell him I’d beg to love them
He starts smiling outside smoking
Burned back slow til he starts choking!"
