I always hear people say that metal fans are the best fans in the world but it's just not true. There are plenty of shit heads out there. I've had/seen many bad experiences and known many people who got hurt unnecessarily at shows. It sucks. It's a community but not really... the bad apples really ruin everything and they are omnipresent. If anyone is seeing KL in the near future, please be wary and take care of yourselves

Can confirm he is in Europe too. The terror of the pit, the guy who tried MMA but failed and now we pay his frustration...

Moshing/stage diving has always been dumb as fuck lmao. Bunch of grown men running around swirling their fists and kicking into the air and purposely hurting themselves/other people. Real cool lmao.

I agree Hawks, I never got it. I always loved to enjoy music in a very different way, specially metal. I love headbanging, I love contemplation, I love catharsis arms wide open, but punching imaginary flies and kicking the shit out of your fellow metalhead is just dumb to me. But hey, if it's consensual and they like it hard like that let them be haha

@wildcard I'm in Maryland but I've see the fucker at local shows, shows in Baltimore, shows in DC, shows in State College, PA, and shows in Philadelphia. I'm just convinced he's an all-knowing presence that spawns at shows across the world to fuck up your night.

I think stage diving and regular mosh shit is fine but I agree about the karate shit, I was cool with it but like I said I took an elbow straight to the eye and I wasn’t even moshing.
Idk I’d definitely get clowned by trve hxc kids but I have always thought it was dumb, but after I needed eleven fuckin stitches above my eye I’m completely against it. Especially as someone that was just a bystander at that point in the show, I was literally just catching my breath and sipping on a beer.

Agreed. I know people make fun of push pits but at least they're generally just people having fun and being rowdy. I think hardcore moshing looks dumb as shit and for some reason I see a lot of "hardcore" people justify that you should be punched in the face just by the virtue of being at a hardcore show. It's a stupid culture.
I've watched moshers at hardcore shows intentionally target people standing far away from the middle of the pit that were just enjoying a beer like you and had it knocked out of their hand. Waste of $18.

"Gonna see KL just outside of DC later this month and my 19 year old brother plans on being in the pit. Wishing him the best cause my old ass won't be in there with him."
trying to go to this but resale tickets are over $100 right now
also saw dethklok with my brother at the same venue also sold out a couple months ago. it was literally impossible to form a pit because of how overcrowded it was. makes me scared this KL show is gonna be the same

Warped Tour 2017 I watched some dude right next to me get kicked in the head by a crowd surfer and literally knocked him the fuck out.
Could be a lot of fun for the surfer but man that really proved how dangerous it can be. Never understood the appeal of moshing either, who goes to a music show to get hurt lol. Push pits are fine and I'll get rowdy in those but even then you have the douchebags who don't register it's a push pit and start throwing fists anyways.

when i saw them in like 2018 they played 2-minute long ambient tracks in between each and every song which seemingly functioned like "catch ur breath and check if you fractured anything" periods lmao

I love The Fillmore in Silver Spring but I agree. When I saw Underoath during their 2016 reunion tour and Brand New in 2014 it was unbelievably packed and people moving at the very front of the floor were causing people in the far back to lose balance. Had my now wife freaked out since it was her first show like that (the Brand New one) so I moved to the back with her instead of being in the center.

@alex
Just wait until a few days before the show and check stubhub. Fleshwater sold out almost instantly in STL but I checked a few days ago and they were going for $9… down from the $75 they were trying to charge months earlier
