Vernon feature on evermore is legit one of the best things I've heard all year lol

second half of the album >>>>> first half

tbh Evermore had more variety that Folklore lacked and was really pleasant for the first third, but listening all the way through, the nauseatingly lush echoing piano, string buildup, and harmonic vocals trope started to get old pretty quick

"I'm not a big fan of any of the features between folklore and evermore so far...I don't know why but to me they sound so hamfisted and forced."

Definitely agree for folklore, need to listen to the newest but don't really like any of the artists featured

I love the artists featured (Bon Iver and the National are two of my favorite artists ever), but they don't mesh well with Taylor IMO. She's far better off doing her own thing.

Oddly enough, I also didn't really like when Bon Iver and The National teamed up for Big Red Machine. I feel like all three of these artists maximized their potential independently.

I could eat up everything Taylor is pumping out right now. It's honestly nice work music.

second half of evermore (basically from Dorothea to the penultimate track) is far superior to the first half.
overall i think i actually prefer evermore to folklore. the highs are higher.

I have no idea how you think they don't mesh well together when those are the best songs

Also on repeated listens, it's definitely better than this album

Evermore is a step down from this, only great songs were the National one and the Bon Iver one. The first third is mostly mediocre and annoying, but it gets better starting with Happiness.

To each their own, Evermore is a much more consistent and pleasing listen to me

No semi annoying Illicit Affairs or My Tears Ricochet or the last three songs

Excuse me My Tears Ricochet is an album highlight, and what's wrong with the last 3 songs?

They're pretty dull compared to the rest and Tears is usually a skip

Logistically speaking it would make more sense to put your sole on my face
