Nah imagine korn still not being that great.

Deftones are so much better and actually releasing a new album this year

dont really think korn and deftones are similar enough (at least for the last 25 years) in style to warrant their continued comparison.

deftones is korn, with more licentiousness and less schizophrenia, played slower, featuring a notably less talented vocalist, and with some meshuggah worship cobbled in the mix that's thankfully less mindless than meshuggah itself

i guess to be more precise, from 1995-2003 korn was their primary influence and contemporary, in 2006 they did their own thing, and 2010-present has been djendjundjugdjog-gaze with a little korn remaining in the chunky riffs and drum structures

still a good band, mainly because korn is a good band

"featuring a notably less talented vocalist"

Highly subjective and highly debatable

chino's singing and shrill cries may subjectively be more enjoyable to the ears, but he objectively only vocalizes the way he does due to poor vocal control stemming from asthmatic obesity

It's not 2006 anymore bro, he's pretty thin these days.

"Chino's vocal style is an accident actually" has to be one of the worst takes I've ever seen on this site. He's an excellent and skilled vocalist and always has been. No disrespect to Davis though, he's also great.
