I think this is his best solo album, but only by a tiny bit. They’re all 4s

I get it though. Worry is like a party celebrating Rosenstock's past songwriting and is done as well as the concept can be. I think this album was more indicative of the direction he wanted to take after BTMI dissolved. I also think POST- gets back on track with the goal here. So, I think that his sound is only going to evolve more with time.

yeah another solo album soon (maybe this year??) would be super cool as I thought POST- was the right step in sound yet a step backward in concept/album cohesiveness but moving forward I expect something truly amazing

Idk. I kinda love POST. It's my least favorite, but again, only by a tiny bit. I think its main problem is just that it doesn't always feel like it flows totally as an album, but all the songs individually are fantastic. USA was probably the wrong call for an opener tbh.

Not sure I understand, POST is the furthest thing from We Cool. The fast upbeat punk sound is even more removed. It feels like he took songs like Staring out the Window and HELLHOLE and then made an album of songs like that. It's good, but doesn't touch We Cool or WORRY

POST is quite different from We Cool, but that confirms the fact that his sound is moving forward (this not being the case on Worry imo), which was my point to begin with.

just scrambled thru the first 22 pages of this thread searching for the link to this old bootleg of "wave goodnight 2 me" from waaaaay before it was called that. thank god it still exists. https://musichastherighttoparty.tumblr.com/post/120508881693/shutupthepoox-here-is-a-new-song-by-jeff-from there's a few stray jeff mp3s that i'm gonna try to compile over the next few days and post to the fb group

found this gem while lookin thru the thread: Green Baron March 29th 2015 - "my teacher is a close friend of jeff; HOWEVER there was an old gym teacher there that was the trombonist, Sean McCabe"
