This is how I've always said it, too, as in "nearer to". But it dawned on me at some point last week that it could conceivable be 'closer' as in "ender", too, and there's no one alive who can truly confirm, though that would be a chillingly fitting name for the album.
Sad if true.

can't be mad at that, UP is an all-timer. personally i think this one edges it out because its a slightly better marriage of the songwriting and production. hannet's production on UP is iconic of course but leaves the punkier songs sounding a little neutered (wilderness and interzone come to mind). both stone cold classics though, same with substance.

I know this is a revered album but Interpol did the whole misery thing a lot better and with more style.
I don’t get why Interpol aren’t held in as high esteem, it’s like punk and all the other stuff. Have you heard tdag? That album blows everything else out of the water it really does. I highly recommend it.
