I know they tried to make another ACoS or Octavarium with Illumination Theory, but it lacks the finesse or build or any kind of emotion in the lyrics or execution. I've had more fun listening to Dragonforce

I think we can agree that Enigma Machine is the only song here that doesn't embarrass itself at all, except maybe for being overdramatic

Yeah, but just go watch Enigma Machine's video, you'll find it embarrassing I promise

Not worse than The Looking Glass video though. That thing with the band playing in a crystal ball held
by a girl in black and white... Possibly the worst DT video ever

Like The Enemy Inside's army themed one

Yeah, DT shouldn't even do videos imo, it's either the band playing in evil ruins with wind in their
hair (A Rite of Passage, On the Backs of Angels) or completely ridiculous "original" videos like the
most recent ones. Problem is both concepts are awful

I agree with Talons about music videos. DT just aren't a music video kind of band if you know what I mean. I said the exact same thing when someone told me there was a music video for Opeth's Grand Conjuration

Even Opeth thought that video was terrible lol

Their downfall started after signing with Roadrunner

DT signed with RR starting with SC. Think what you will of that...

Downfall... except that Heritage was the best album they released since Damnation

Systematic Chaos was their first Roadrunner album, which says it all really

Oni I was talking about DT not Opeth

Opeth's Roadrunner years aren't actually that bad but the same cannot be said for DT sadly.

BC&SL and ADTOE had its moments but of course Opeth's albums during RR eclipse those easily

DT is having a lengthy mid life crisis, and being surrounded by young and hip metalcore and djent acts doesn't help.
