Sunbather is a good album too. Nevermind the surrounding hype and that it's not completely original. It was well executed and had some solid songwriting that resonated with a lot of people.

I have heard white tomb, but I haven't given it a rating. Didn't think it's nearly on the same lvl as this album though.



Altars of madness wasn't really for me, if it is for you fine don't trust my opinion because obviously we like different things. I bet there are people who would though so no need to get condescending over trivialities.

look i apologize for going a bit too on the aggro side but lets take a step back and look at something more general/theoretical

if someone is new to a genre, then their opinion of works in that genre (especially divisive ones, or regardless of reception maybe experimental ones?) is going to be ultimately less useful because they simply dont have the contextual knowledge of that genre to see how it fits in the greater scheme of things, how much it actually innovates etc.

would you agree with this?
