Each of Heathen's three albums embodies the thrash metal production cliches of its day, especially in the way the drums sound. Breaking the Silence is caked in reverb and has one of those 80s metal snare drum sounds, with nigh-inaudible bass. Victims of Deception has that awesome drum sound that early 90s thrash metal records tended to have, as well as a generally upgraded and clear sound. (Victims' production is so perfect, it helped draw me in more.) Like a lot of metal albums of its era (Especially the poorly produced ones...there's no excuse for the demos to sound better!!!), Evolution of Chaos is brickwalled as FUCK.
