I'M THE SON OF RAGE AND LOVE

THE JESUS OF SUBURBIA

I don't think the album is great, but I still think Jesus of Suburbia is one of the best things Green Day have ever done.

Jesus of Suburbia is great, probably the best post-dookie thing they've done

This is definitely the band's best album IMO, although Dookie is close (I do realize for some people this constitutes blasphemy)

This and Dookie are their best albums, but I prefer Dookie.

I think I could actually bump this up, to be honest. I think I'm still sick of the singles though.

Prefer Insomniac and Dookie to this, still one of their best though.

Dookie, Kerplunk, Insomniac and AI are all excellent stuff.

Yeah the Trilogy and 21st Century have their moments but are mostly just blah. Don't really see a way back for the band to be honest.

when youre in your 40s and you still act like youre 17 then theres really no way to produce anything that resembles quality.

I'm not sure about that Clover, I thought Neighbourhoods by Blink-182 was a solid album, and Mark and Tom are constantly acting like 13 year olds. I believe Green Day can come back with a solid, semi-mature album. To be honest, if they suddenly became a serious, mature band it would take away one of the major characteristics of what made their music really good at times; the fact that it was fun.

"To be honest, if they suddenly became a serious, mature band..."

Wasn't that what happened in 21CB, though?

That would explain why it sucked.

Also, you can be in your 40s and Rock people's socks off.

Just ask Joey Cape.

It's the slim shady effect, you try so hard to replicate why you were once the best at... But you completely miss the point.
