Iron Maiden aren't necessarily heavy in any sense of the word but their music is of a very high standard for the most part of their discography.



Modern metal definitely relies more on shouted/screamed vocals. But the pioneers and oldies of the genre are still great.

oh yeah for sure lol. i was 13 and didn't know anything! i've grown to revere the classics. heaviness back then was harder to achieve sonically so it's really impressive and fun to see the evolution.
