"It's like everything about pop-punk except on steroids"

Yeah, literary references, americana, some of those arppegio'd leads...all HYPER pop punk.

What a dipshit.

It's like one of the least pop punk pop punk records though. [2]

Its pop punk, but when people ask i just say its punk so theyll give it a chance because that tag doesnt do this band justice.

I seriously don't know what he's trying to say because of how it's worded

I think he means The Menzingers made an album more poppy than this one, and I guess he's talking about the last one? The wording of same band confuses me, like why would you say same band it makes it seem like we're talking about something else or something

I teased a precious pop punk album as I usually do but it seems this album is far too holy for that

@Trebor I was countering Neeka's point since he called this specific album "hyper pop punk." just saying that all you have to do is look at The Menzingers most recent full length to find an album that fits the term much better than this

but even then...it doesn't.

songs like Tellin Lies, Lookers, and Black Mass automatically disqualify it from "hyper" pop punk

when they start singing about pizza, leaving their hometowns, and crying about meanie ex-girlfriends, then get back to me

ATP is hyper pop punk, and it’s also fantastic.

In fact, I wish this album was poppier. This band’s at its best when it’s music is catchy.
