c'mon man, the rhythm of that tune behind Page's solo in the final few minutes, coupled with the climax, is nothing short of incredible

Any song that is as universally acclaimed and as overplayed as Stairway is inevitably going to be labeled overrated. That said, its easily one of the greatest rock songs ever and anyone who cant at least see that is an idiot. Now, do I have a desire to hear it right now? Nah.

True, How the West Was Won is all you need.

Well, not ALL you need, but it's damn close

"IV is the best rock album ever made, even if its massively overplayed."

it's funny when i see some 18 year old kid talking about something being overplayed. like do people even listen to the radio anymore with all the other options out there? you have so much control over what you listen to nowadays that the only way something will be overplayed is if you overplay it yourself.

There's plenty of other ways to hear a song besides the radio, but agreed, it's probably less of an issue now.

Yeah, agreed for the most part. There are some amazing songs that I overplayed when I discovered them, and can't quite appreciate as much now. Kashmir's the only LZ song I can think of like that though.

Always wish they'd written more songs like No Quarter. Might be my favorite Zeppelin song if not top 3.

No Quarter almost dooms at times with that one riff, but my favorite off of here is probably Rain Song for its sheer beauty. Also kind of feel bad for Hills since it pales in comparison to the live version off of HTWWW
