Spencer DTGL era was one of the most competent vocalists of the genre.
And lol at this being better. This comes in behind Cries and in front of ToCS

This is my least favorite of theirs. I haven't heard the first two albums, but yeah.

I'm in the minority, but They're Only Chasing Safety is easily my favorite. It's actually one of my favorite albums ever.

LITSOS and TCOT are both fantastic

yeah I remember you 5ing it (@ hawks). it suffered a problem which I very often get from albums where
I pick a random song or two off it (not necessarily the singles) before I give it a full listen just
to see what it's like, love that song, and then have that song end up being the only one I liked.
still trying to work out if that's a coincidence or if the act of listening to a song outside of the
context of the album for some reason makes me like it more.
but yeah, I loved the first two tracks on that album but barely any of the rest clicked with me. Same
with DTGL actually

It always amazes me how well-received this album was. I've been on the fence about it for a long time. I really like the first two songs, but I find the rest to be incredibly bland. I listen to it every so often to see if age will help it grow on me, but my opinion has yet to change.
I really like the new drummer, Daniel Davison. I loved him in Norma Jean, but I feel like he gets lost in this album's boring riffage.

I used to hate this band like 7 years ago. Who knew that they would be sweet one day. Define The Great Line, Lost In The Sound and this are all great.
