nightmare is decent. don't see how you could like danger line though. its the most generic song on the album

i liked COE, and there were some good songs out of the mixed bag of self titled, but to me i feel this album is just generic and cheesy, it didnt do anything to really expand on their strong points. and M. Shadows screaming again was not a good thing, i honestly thought they were always weak, even on WTF

ugh you people make me wanna throw my grandma in a woodchipper. her screams from that probably would be better than M. Shadows on here

a big reason for the low score is the nasally vocals and weak screams, I've always thought M. Shadows
was the weak point of the band, but here he just doesn't sound good at all to me. also as a guitar
player myself, it's hard for me to deny that they use the same sweep picking patterns and licks over
and over again, COE to me at least felt more inspired with its solos (some examples: the solo to
Welcome to the Family sounds like a mess, and the title track's main riff is extremely boring and
cheesy, just to name a few). They still have kept some of the gimmicky touches from Self-titled on
songs like Danger Line, and while i can tell they're trying to experiment and i respect them for that,
the horns and whistling and whatever else they're trying just doesn't work.
