full disclosure i love big l and this album is a classic, but god damn all black is one of the most offensive things ive ever heard. cant believe that a major label agreed to release something like that. the 90's were a crazy time lmao.

the funny thing is that Devil's Son never made the cut cuz the record company thought it was too controversial, but lines like that snuck their way in lmao

yeah it stinks of the label simply not knowing what to do with what they had. from what ive read, sony demanded that he put conscious tracks like street stuck on here to balance out the evil shit.

they probably signed him because hiphop was booming and his shit was popular, but genuinely didnt know why and just threw whatever out there to see if it sold.

yea it looks like they didnt understand what they were releasing. and I bet really only the title and sample in Devil's Son is what tipped them off cuz even on this album he talks about raping Jesus lmao

This is hilarious

Anyways, 90s hip hop being offensive is old news. These old heads were miserably homophobic and misogynistic at best, but it was a time and a place and they were facing their own adversity and all kinds of intersectionality

Now days we have the same heads shouting out Ru Paul in bars instead of gay bashing him, most of them have changed with the times

How is this offensive. It's just some edgy jokes. Listen to White Slavery by Necro for maximum edge
