I really enjoyed the album. Hated it at first but gave it a chance and really enjoyed it. Who fucking cares if they tried to recreate American Idiot, its still a good album. There are some awesome ass songs on here. The title track is fucking incredible! That song is one of my favorite Green Day songs. You guys should just give things a chance more often. Damn.

i like it, but yeah there are a ton of flaws with this record. but based on the amount of great stuff on it, i still havent lost faith in them. they can still make fantastic music. i just think they have no idea how to go about it. pull yourselves together green day!

plus, there are songs here that feel like copies of AI tracks

- viva la gloria/letterbomb

- american eulogy/homecoming



and these are the ones that come to the top of my head



the length is a problem because of the amount of filller



plus, the lack of purpose makes it pale in comparison to AI, since they actually had some idea what they wanted to do there.



nonetheless, i stlil like this. it is FAR from great, but i still like it.
