Cleanse is so boring, probably one of their absolute worst songs. It just keeps going & going & going for no apparent reason, it’s just a gimmick which they get away with because Neurosis.

It’s a shame because the rest of this is excellent & a the idea of Cleanse is fine at first but it’s 15 damn minutes long. Least favourite Neurosis between (& inc.) tWiL & GttR.

It was a flippant remark that I wouldn’t read much into... although most fans aren’t judging Neurosis of ‘93 they’re looking back on their legacy, the band are now legendary in underground music circles & therefore can do no wrong.



If you heard this on release (which hardly anyone here did) then that’s a different story.

THE LONGING IN YOOOUURRRR HEEEAARRTTT FOR TRANSCENDENCE

Cleanse is my absolute favourite Neurosis track, and it's one of the reasons I believe this is their best album.

I love Cleanse so much that I have created two Lost Salt Blood Purges tracks entirely dedicated to trying to rip it off

Cleanse is immense in the best way, love it
