I was half-joking about that Mayhem haha, I mean he'd just get into it and start blasting everything, probably lots of bands would do that on their live shows (I've heard of some jazz recording from 70s that had a blast beat). people need to understand that blast beat is actually the most basic shit ever, it just sounds cool when it's played fast haha.
