Spiders might be scared of me but I’m absolutely terrified of them.

A money spider is good luck? How come I’ve pissed and shit myself then?

LSD can remove irrational phobias along with nicotine addiction.

It can also send you completely round the bend. Best left alone. The brain is a delicate thing.

This is my favorite Pink Floyd album, though I like Dark Side of the Moon a lot, Saucerful of Secrets, Echoes and parts of Wish You Were Here. It just seems that this is the source or the nova from which all the rest of the explosion issued forth. Sophisticated raw rock psychedelia with some surrealistic bucolic surrealistic fairy tale interludes. I like it because it feels less methodical, less calculated and more spontaneous that any of their other records as good as a number of the others are. There is an immediacy, intensity, authenticity, transcendent trippiness and zany hypersensitive clarity to many of the songs especially Interstellar Overdrive and Astronomi Domino, which to me are amazing to listen to on repeat to do a detour in time that is sublimely surrealistic, but the spaced out Bond riff in Black Cat, the shattering glass and barking vocals in Bike along with Flaming are all great too. I like the Gnome, Matlida Mother and Chapter 24 as well. Power R. Toc is pretty good but breaks the spaced out feel and Take up they Stethoscope is the only one I would pass on. Classic Album.

I have no idea if my parents played this for me and first song in it doesn't seem like I remember but damn that opening riff sounds like the mysterious stranger!

We ready to have the conversation that this is the second best Floyd record?

Also a couple years behind the times, but LSD cured my arachnophobia. I get a glass and a coaster and let those fuckers outside now.

My point is don’t listen to Zak for drug advice he respects his Morrissey. Follow the good example of Syd Barret

Thank you porc.

And yeah we can call this second best. I prefer 'unique' though.

I once killed a spider by accident, so I guess I will not achieve Nirvana in this incarnation.
