I mean yeah Serpent is a huge step down from Marrow, but it still kinda rules. Not as hard as the others, but still.

well I should have mentioned most of agalloch's discog is nearly impossible to acquire on vinyl...unless I want serpent and the sphere for $60 bucks. but if I ever find the mantle on vinyl I'd pay over 100 bucks prolly haha

People are put off with how different it is, can't get over that it isn't the mantle or ashes.

There are boots of Ashes and The Mantle that you can get for under 100$ (last I checked anyway). Original ashes will prob cost you minimum 150$ though and Original Mantle is upwards of 300$...

The End records is repressing both but remastered so we'll see how that turns out

as a bm record Marrow rules. Except for like that 17 min doom song that doesn't really go anywhere the album's hella solid bm.

Marrow is definitely a bit under appreciated. Though a little bit of love for bm certainly helps with the enjoyment of that record.

love marrow. was a bit underwhelmed (huge culture shock coming from ashes, especially the production) when it first came out, but couldn't stop listening. into the painted grey is still easily one of my fav agalloch songs

I think of Scars as the closer, makes the album perfect [2]

But The Grain is awesome (((( I guess it's better to people who are more into drone/ambient/noise like myself
