It's weird, 5-6 songs are so grandiose on this that they could easily serve as perfect closers to most albums of similar genre. The start is especially loaded, by the end of "all of my thoughts", I usually feel I'm ready to move on to something simpler. So I always found it exhausting to listen to Ladies... in one-go, it just drains me emotionally too quickly and I lose connection well before it ends. But I guess it is the almost constant grandiosity what most of you find so appealing. While most of the individual tracks are really amazing, to me it is just too much as a whole.

I can see where you’re coming from with that. It’s an overwhelming experience in a lot of ways but a very transportive one. Actually listened to it for the first time in a few years the other night and it never disappoints.

in a good way sometimes but defs not always - this album works v well drugged up on its own vapid daydream, debut far less so

Another listen of this and it’s still my greatest of all time.
Rock, Soul, Jazz and the conveyance of something greater.
The best.
