Album likely will not come out this year. I highly doubt they're going to squander a 6 year build-up with a 4-6 week album drop. I'm looking at Spring of '26. March-ish.

After 6 years with how big they are right now? Not to mention having no confirmed tour dates for next year and if they were to release it in August they would jump right into touring on an album that has absolutely nothing to do with the rest of their confirmed '25 tour dates? Lol.

I was really bummed about the thought of them wasting a track live playing that smiths cover just because it popped off with the zoomers. Thankfully it seems like that died down and if looks like it’s not in the rotation anymore.
I’m not totally against bands doing covers live but I came to see Deftones, not Deftones doing Morrissey. I was so disappointed the last time I saw ghost and they covered fucking enter sandman. Like don’t do that shit, play a fuckin deep cut that hardcore fans want instead of some big tent crowd pleasing bullshit

New single is coming out on Friday and the new album is out on August. It will probably be their worst album. 5 years since their last album. Gore wasn’t good. Ohms was good but lacks memorable riffs and the lyrics are ehhh. Hope I am wrong but Crosses dropped a new album last year and it sucked. I personally don’t think Chino has anything left in the tank. If so, this is the last album where they will sound anything remotely like the last thirty years. Good luck seeing them live with Chino failing to replicate what he does in the studio with Pro Tools.
I gave Ohms 5/5 because I am a Deftones Stan and I have really no faith in a 50 something Chino.
