if youre smoking it the only damage it does is from the smoke to your lungs, not the weed itself. if you ingest it then theres absolutely no negative effects

the only short term effect is potential memory loss, which is nothing in the grand scheme of things. none of them have any long term negative physical effects that much has been proven
