Can't lie, I'm blown away so far. I've said it before but its giving me HUGE 90s Norwegian bm vibes.

They've managed to ride a very difficult line to perfection imo. I think immediately the most purely BM tracks are my least faves but thats personal taste. They excel in dynamic contrast and this straddles the line between brute force heaviness and still being really emotionally impactful in a way that I adore.

Magnolia is one of the best straight up bm bangers I've heard this decade. Good lord that song HITS.

I still think Black Brick is vastly underappreciated tho tbh

Ok the dust has settled. New one is fantastic but I think it is being a tad overhyped. Gotta jam more but I don't see it reaching the level of this, Roads or New Bermuda for me.

Black Brick is so pleasantly dirty

Like I'm being ravaged by bony little gremlins in some deep castle chamber

And everything's on fire

Dummy stoked to jam the new album

Fuckin hell, we are so back. Not a single weak spot.

Whole thing is absolutely incredible but Winona into Orange Tree is next level. Also Revelator absolutely floors it holy shit

Ehhhhh idk the Incidental tracks are all worthless and I could do without The Garden Route and Heathen tbh.

Doberman, Magnolia, Revelator, Body Behavior and Winona are the clear standouts for me so far.

Worst thing this band has done by a long shot. Y'all are jizzing over the Deafheaven name but in reality this is a snoozefest.

This one just feels sterile in comparison to all of the others to me, especially the first 2/Kodama. Just seems like they went on autopilot for this one. Yeah there are some cool riffs and intricacies but lacks all of the ethereal magic that I'm used to from these guys tbh.

Also Budg they weren't even a big name when this was released so I don't think that has anything to do with it buddy.

The only thing wrong with me is that this album is the biggest disappointment of the last decade probs.

Also lets never compare this to Ecailles ever again plz. That album is a masterpiece and can never be duplicated.
