I'm not a stupid fan, if Tool come with a crappy album, I will be the first spitting on them. I have done this few times with fav bands of mine.
And what for you is boredom, for another person it may be the opposite. What is clear is that Tool needs to be heard a few times to be appreciated in its proper measure. You may not like it, but you would never put a 1 or 2 on an album of them.
Soe bands can be not liked, ofc, but some ratings are only hate.
