I just think it’s bland as hell. The hooks, the riffs, the vocals. I don’t find anything as catchy nor intense as pretty much everything that came before this, including Gore, which is also not an amazing album but still has some clear bangers to choose from

It's better than Gore, but only makes it one spot above what was their weakest release. Now that's not to say it's bad, far from it but not everything works. There are alot of clunky melodies on this most notably on Error and Pompeji. Chino also had some of the cringiest lyrics he's penned and again the biggest offenders for me are Error and Pompeji. Still it's impressive to release an album this good 25 years into a career. TLDR but I hope Radiant City gets praise in this thread cause it's a great song and would be a banger live.

I could see how people could be bored by this album. There aren't a ton of riffs that stick out and like I said this album has a bunch of really boring, weak melodies. It's Chino being WAY too Chino'y. But I've been a fan of this band since '97 so to hear an album this solid all these years later is impressive.
