Like, it was fun to see evilford bump all those osdm albums last week. Even though they were popular ones, it's a nice change compared to the normal Opeth/Radiohead/Deftones/Brand New threads.

problem is everyone on here wants everyone else to listen to THEIR cool, new, undiscovered shit that no one actually checks out stuff that people put in lists.
best feature of Sput IMO is the recs, esp the personalized ones. found so much cool shit that was basically filtered for me by others. that's a great way to get ur undiscovered artists/albums more traction. that and review the thing

@fullofsounds, its nice to know I get users to check stuff out, but theres still a large disconnect in actually discussing it that bothers me. I've also brought attention to groups like Red Giant and Ourfathers who are both pretty popular in this little community. But even then there isnt much discussion about either of them, too.

I dont think its an issue of people wanting to find stuff on their own, because the majority userbase (read: smaller users or rating lurkers) here listens to the same "sputcore" records or talk about the same overtalked albums all the time. People would rather stick to the charts or the albums their favorite users listen to instead of exploring on their own.
