Yeah but tank for what? You load up on offense and you go out to buy on defense, only to then decide to toss the season away while Denver and LA falter. Players also hate tanking since it inherently means they have to lose, and a lot of players don't like stomaching intentional failure.
What happened was the org went from a beloved player-friendly coach to a guy that has zero leadership skills and wants to micromanage everything. It sucks, because I hoped the dude would grow and mature, but he evidently did not.
