I think they’re pretty enjoyable so far cause the controls feel really good, but I’ve only done 2 (just finished isle one). I’m assuming it gets a lot harder now

Haven’t played ghost of tsushima out of all of those but the last of us part 2 is fucking goated
That along with Red Dead 2 are the best stories in gaming imo

it's a boss rush, tho.
Tbf, the platform segments are really short and mostly easy. Just nothing particularly interesting about them.

‘Cuphead has really good music and sound design, who would ever jam their own music over that?’
Hmm, well I could listen to the in-game music which will be fairly limited in scope and variety or listen to literally anything I want… yeah, I’ll pick the latter. Lol
guess I just don’t care about that sort of thing enough

Oh don’t worry, I still have access to my eyesight when listening to my own music

man I miss the days when us dorks were ashamed of our nerdy video games and didn't bring them up in noise rock discussions

I don’t. Fuck that. Life’s too short to not let your balls hang out there.
Be nerdy if it makes you happy

And for the record, I'm only messing. Of course I can see why you might prefer to hear the actual soundtrack, lol...
even if I honestly rarely do these days, but that's because I'm 'stuck' playing the same 5 games six zillion times for reasons unbeknown (convenience, familiarity and / or nostalgia, probably)

It’s nostalgia. I’m the same way. Why do you think I’ve played the Mass Effect trilogy a thousand times and still got all giddy when they came out with the legendary edition

Yeah, probably a factor, especially with stuff like Pokémon, Fallout or Doom. It's also a lot more suitable for digesting new music as it 'counter-balances' the adventurousness I (hopefully) have in that area with something that requires hardly any concentration. I'm just playing on 'auto-pilot' most of the time.
I think to get into new games properly, I'd have to stop digesting copious amount of unfamiliar music, or split my time between them (so I wasn't doing both, simultaneously). With limited time available I'm more likely to retain the status quo.
P.S. I love / still own physicals of ME 1 & 2, yet admittedly didn't bother with the leg ed. I would certainly be able to conjure up a little nostalgia for those games!

if all of your comments have actually been deleted, that's pretty rough! Damn.
Hope it gets sorted and they can be recovered. Your comments in the 'elec rec' list you did are all gone!

Half the staff and contribs have had all their comments deleted, some reviews deleted, some peoples red text titles have been changed (Sow is now a Contrib, apparently), joining dates have changed to the 70s, some forums are down. Sputmageddon here we come, apparently.
Seems to be staff and contrib specific though so users are (hopefully) fine.
