Yeah kinda sorta. I think that was around the Once More 'Round the Sun times. He seemed pretty serious about it and it's Brent so he's more testy than the rest, but he later said it was mostly all the modern typical stuff.
He recently did that diss about the Disturbed tour when this came out, but also has said he wants to do a full on punk Mastodon record and a country Mastodon record back to back since Emperor has come out. He seemed kinda excited to briefly talk about a new crazed out metal Mastodon record but it just seems like he changes like the wind. Bill said in April in an interview that he was planning on having another record of riffs written by the time Hushed would come out.

I think it's just solid. It's definitely too long and the second half really starts to drag. The first half of this is so much better than the back half. This also lacks standout tracks.

^^^ fairly agreed. Was somewhat disappointed in the homogeneity in their sound on here. Still giving it the benefit of a doubt and multiple spins to see if this’ll get better for me before I officially drop a rating on it.
