Am gonna roll with this for the sole reason that it vaguely implies my Ashnikko Punisher Angel avi was the only thing keeping me in seasonal balance

Taylor and Seiko releasing two of the year's best on the same day. Unfair.

willow was kinda meh, but champagne problems and gold rush both rule

tis the damn season --> happiness had me almost ready to write this off but Dorothea rules and sounds like her very own version of 'Pink Rabbits'; I'm back on board for now.

Coney, ivy, and cowboy are all just OK
this seems like the kind of situation where I'm going to take the best 4-5 songs from each album and make one super album: folkever, or morelore, or something.
Either that and this will grow on me just like folklore did and be a 4.5 in two weeks...yeah, that's probably what will happen.

Whoa, those are some unexpected takes, Sow. I've listened three times and No Body, No Crime is the only one I'm remotely lukewarm about. The rest was immediate love for me, at least, that's what my hype tells me lol

I haven't immediately taken to a Swift album since 1989, all her recent stuff has required time to grow. I'm sure I'll end up liking this, but it's a tad underwhelming on first impression. champagne, gold rush, and dorothea are excellent though, and those will keep me coming back enough for the rest to hopefully grow. I'm on 'marjorie' now and it's a bit better than the handful of tracks that came before it. Hoping for a back-end album surge.

Coney Island is fucking gorgeous, Matt and Taylor’s voices blend together so well

Just finished. Overall, I'm pretty indifferent as the majority of the album just feels like folklore b-sides, but I'm sure I'll come around in due time. First Spin Favorites: dorothea, gold rush, champagne problems, marjorie (in that order).

I'm not a big fan of any of the features between folklore and evermore so far...I don't know why but to me they sound so hamfisted and forced.
