I feel like this album has the most memorable and distinctive guitar solos of any Maiden record.

Top 5 Maiden is their first four records & somewhere in time

unpopular opinion: powerslave deffo has some of their best songs (how can anyone deny aces high, the t/t?) but also some of their worst.

Their first seven can be easily considered anywhere within their top 7, just comes down to preference. I find them terribly difficult to rank - whichever the last Maiden album I jammed is usually the one I'll say is my favourite in that moment haha

What on Powerslave could be considered some of their worst songs?? The Deulists and Flash are a little underwhelming but, when you have their 90s material, I couldn't put it with their worst songs

Edit: if you say Back in the Village, I will have to scream

Back to the Village, The Duelist, Flash, and Losfer Words are all underwhelming.

If it helps, Back to the Village is the LEAST underwhelming of that quartet.

that four-way split brandon is digging intrigues me (random comment, but the crazy long name got my attention lol)

powerslave is easily amongst their best to me, back to the village and flash of the blade are both great tracks in my eyes, and aces high, minutes to midnight, the t/t, and rhyme are all amongst their very best

@shadows, i think you would dig the split for sure, it's on bandcamp if you're interested.

i think the latter four tracks you mentioned are all easily 5/5 and among the best in their catalog but the other four tracks are so meh to me
