"God Is In The Radio is more of a Lanegan tune though."
not in the context in which i was talking as he didn't write any of it

Those “yes men” created Like Clockwork.

All bands burn out eventually. Unless the band is named Swans. They'll keep putting out quality until Gira kicks the bucket.

If you like the same chords repeated for 8 minutes straight Swans is definitely awesome

Listening to this album while stoned/drunk lately has made me hate this album less. Sober, the record feels lazy and uninspired with horrific production. The Way You Used To Do is possibly the worst song they've ever written. Listening while intoxicated though, I just want to shake my hips and drive fast. I heard The Way You Used To Do in a bar last week and I found myself bobbing my head and bouncing left and right. Listening to the album now while pretty high, I really enjoy the groove.

I wonder if the reception for this would have been as mixed if it followed Era instead of Like Clockwork

If this had followed 'Era' the band would have been buried and the priest would have said a few words, crossed himself and walked away with his head bowed low

This following Era would have been a death sentence for this band

The people who don't like this album are the same people who stand at the walls of a party with pursed lips and say "everyone here is lame."
