This is much better than I thought it was going to be.

This is moderately decent at best and offensively boring at worst

Mastodon is hit or miss for me and I enjoy this so I mean

"so I mean" but that doesn't mean anything lol. Having an extreme contrast in your like of a band's older material doesn't mean this is very impressive by comparison.

I'm pretty hit or miss with them too. Dig a lot of Crack, a bit of Leviathan. Remission is fucking awesome.

Clandestiny's chorus is really cool and as cheesy as it might sound, I really like the bridge

Didn't see it myself. He just sounded like some butthurt fan yearning for the old days.

Some good points yeah but, and I don't know if it's just the way he structured it, but it sounded like he was criticising it heavily for merely not being metal enough rather than looking at it for what it is.



Granted he brought up lots of good arguments towards the end but like 60% of it was him saying they've gone too poppy, they're not as heavy as they used to be, they're trying to balance catchiness with their metal side etc.
