well, Krys' was almost 4 years in the making, while Bart probably started doing his sometime last year.

Bartushka and Batrushka are super clever monikers but it gets confusing when you're reading fast.

if they could set their differences aside there's a way they could make this whole situation kinda work with their style and image. present the two different bands as two different sects of the same musical church, as it were. make Batushka less of a fixed band and more of a broad musical project with a large/revolving group of members.

that would be kinda rad but I don't know if peace is feasible at this point

would be rad but let's face it, these 2 guys hate each other's guts, plus Bart is a greedy conman and Krzys would be retarded to work with him again.

I don't agree with people's villainization of Bart nor the reverence for Krys honestly. I see good arguments for and against both of them. neither of them seem like particularly great people either way. I bought Panihida and I'll gladly buy Hospodi when it comes out.

Krzys is the main songwriter. It's his vision. Period. I don't see any evidence that Bart was integral in any way that justifies doing the creepy backstabby shit he pulled. Dude is a scumbag

if other members of the original band are to be believed, Krys didn't really intend on continuing it beyond a one-off project and it was Bart who self-financed shows and bought equipment to get it off the ground. that sounds pretty integral to me.
as an aside, it's funny looking at various threads across the internet and seeing the same people going apeshit over Bart and refusing to support his band on "principle" while also attempting to shut down any discussion of Deathspell Omega's Nazi background and saying they'll never stop supporting them because aRt FrOm ThE aRtIsT and that their beliefs/actions don't matter. priorities much?

That's well and good, but he chose to do that. But just cause he's the front-man doesn't mean he owns 50% of the band if all the writing credits are the creator's. I guess he says Krzys was 'schizophrenic' and an asshole, and I don't buy that at all but even if it's true, then fucking leave, don't hijack the band behind his back.
I've only heard like 1 Deathspell song so I have no idea what their situation is.

I just feel like people are way too quick to take sides and believe one thing over the other when we literally have no idea what all has actually gone on behind the scenes, both before the split and since the lawsuit. it's all just he-said-she-said.

If Bart wins the case somehow and it turns out there's a bunch of dirt on Krzys regarding what happened, I'll eat my words but just calling it like I see it atm

'it's all just he-said-she-said.' What?? To an extent, but we DO know he changed all the passwords and seized the merch store from the creator. Talk about ego.
