The music is refreshing for Steven, more electronic post rock-y. Oddly, that was the first time I felt Steven' vocals didn't fit, they felt too dry for the music(during the verses specifically). He should have used his expert layered vocal approach. But I'll get used to it after a few listens

I don't think it's better than Perfect Life. PL took some time to be fully digested, but now it hits hard and the electronics on that one are superb. Pariah is unoriginal in the sense that structurally it's more conventional. It's very layered, however, and it just shows the work that's been put in it.
Ninet's vocals, though.....
