There is a lot to like here. Unfortunately, often they're just too damn heavy handed. I actually like the violin / acoustic sections as well as the clean vocals. I think their songs would be much better served if they simply utilized metal instrumentation to make the music more dynamic instead of trying so hard to "be metal." The blast beats and relatively generic heavy layers just drown out whatever they're trying to do with their songs.
