Fuck I forgot Stone Temple Pilots. They'd go between Nirvana and Soundgarden

Where's Smashing Pumpkins? Aren't they also considered one of the bigger "grunge" bands?

Tbh I don't consider them grunge that much. I guess they'd go near the front too

Billy Corgan has stated plenty of times that he doesn't consider SP a grunge band, but a lot of people do lump them in.

"I just don't get how stuff like Nirvana and Pearl Jam became the most popular Grunge acts. Both are hugely overrated, and this is the only Nirvana work where I really feel heart is put into it."

well to be fair you still have only heard one pearl jam album (which is their most popular but not necessarily their best). you promised me you'd hear vs and vitalogy, yeah right still waiting on that lol.

Oh shit i must've forgot about that. If and when you do relisten, you should do it with a clear mindset though, ya know what i mean. It seems you've been building up a lot of hate towards em lol, if you spin their albums again with that thought buried in your head of course you're not gonna enjoy it :D

Ah the old once every six month rant.

To make it absolutely stone bonker clear. NOBODY CALLED THEMSELVES A GRUNGE BAND in the early '90s.

Grunge was a media term for the Seattle scene and the bands that emanated from it.

You call yourself 'grunge' you're creed or bush.

We CAN, but I don't think we should.

And that is primarily why I don't consider "grunge" a proper music genre and why I tend to reference it in quotation marks
