I remember jamming it and not really thinking it was amazing, ill have to try again as that was years ago.

The White is unbelievable. One of their best.

The White is easily my third favorite Agalloch album, with The Mantle and Pale Folklore being tied as my favorite (I have yet to decide which one I like better) and Ashes being my second favorite.

I don't get all the hate on this one. I could see myself bumping to 4.5. What's not to like about folky cosmic post-metal? There's no filler and I think they totally nailed the sound they were going for

And yeah Plateau rules with infinite astronomical trems

I dug Marrow from the beginning, but this took time to grow on me for sure.

liking it more this time, leaning towards a 3.5ish. the doom-ier aspects aren't quite doing it for me, but that genre was never really my cup of tea

Yeah I'm listening to it again thanks to you haha. Currently on Celestial Effigy. It's not a bad album, probably closer to a 3.5 for me too, but just not quite there. I'm torn. There are very enjoyable moments throughout, but there are so many parts that are bland and a lot of jarring transitions.

I just want a Haughm and Musk Ox neofolk/darkfolk collab album.

I didn't think that they could write a bad song, then they put out an entire album of them. It starts out so good, too, then falls flat on its face and never recovers.
