listened to this album again today after a long gestation period of holding off on it and found myself really loving it. hope their new album trims a bit of the fat but keeps all the technicality and classical influences in the acoustic/violin parts

Snoxall taste for devil may cry games was dreadful ( dude thought that dmc's dante was the best dante). Still, he was right with this album, usually people who hate this works in low paid jobs and they have null intellectual depth

I used to have this as a 4.5 but I just can't bring myself to like this anymore. At least not as much as I once did. When it first came out, it seemed ethereal, but now every time a song pops up on shuffle I just skip it. It just doesn't have the "zing" it did when it first dropped. "As Icicles Fall" is still really good but I consider it more of Children of Nova than Opeth.
