I have been totally engrossed in the band's doom phase for the last few years, ignoring their 10s work, and coming back to this it's crazy to think this is the same band! Love every face of the band to bits though.

There was a time I used to be dumb enough to think the last 4 songs here (apart from The Beginning and the End" drag the album down and so I refused to 5 this.

I used to not listen to those unless I was listening to the whole album, but at some stage I got to a point where I would only ever listen to this album the whole way through and so I grew to love them

Agreed titan, those songs are insane. This entire album has so much raw emotion poured into it
Beginning and the End is my favourite Anathema song though, and I know that wouldn't be on many people's list. But there's just something about it, everything works perfectly. Perfect build up, climax, vocals, lyrics, solo (Danny's best imo), and the serene outro
