'Yea I mean he didn't reach the highs, but to be fair the notes hit on this album are pretty fucking crazy. Plus he looked like he was having a good time, so good for him.'
now, you my friend, have the right attitude!

I'm not a DT fan, but this is fun. Another Day and Surrounded may be my least favourites, I find them cheesy. They have good melodies though.

Another Day definitely goes too far with the sax. Surrounded is beautiful though

Yea, out of the two I definetly prefer Surrounded

The opening sounds remind me of Super Mario Galaxy, haha
Wait for Sleep + Learning to Live is the highlight on here imo. Especially the main rhythm of Wait for Sleep, that's so crazy and weird and sounds good at the same time. They didn't really manage to write things like that after Moore (who wrote that part) left.

Agreed hard! I love how Learning To Live pick the main theme of Wait For Sleep up again.

Yes, especially the way the whole band sets in to it, that's probably my favorite moment on the album.

Something being cheesy doesn't necessarily mean it's good or bad, it's just a descriptor. There's a way to do it right and a way to do it wrong, and imo, 80s sax in a whiney ballad is the wrong way (Another Day), while 9/8 shiny keyboard to an uplifting melody is the right way (Surrounded).
