yeah i am also looking at foundation black metal bands like Emperor / Dimmu Borgir / Immortal / Arcturus / Ancient. I was looking at Immortal and saw the Kings of Norway Split Album, so it got me intrigued to look at the other folks. gotta check them all out officially though. i also realized emperor was before the band Ihsahn, and i know a LITTLE from them

best way is to make a rec list. i made one for black metal and its a really good way to get into a genre that was inaccessible before. plus people here actually comment so that's nice.

You can definitely make a recs list but it seems like you've already got quite a few people reccing you stuff they think you'll be into
Pretty much everything I love about dm doesn't appear to be super up your alley based on your ratings that I've seen so I'm not sure I'd be much help reccing stuff.
